This year we will be Back country skiing from different resorts in the Aosta valley and we intend to spend at least one night in a mountain refuge as part of our tour or have at least 1 helicopter uplift on each of the weeks. We have had a hiatus from Champoluc over the last few seasons due to the restrictions placed on British Instructors, Leaders and Coaches by Brexit. We filled that hiatus by going to Whistler and La Grave. Great places in their own right, but we are delighted to say that agreement has now been reached between Italy and the UK and we can now work with our own clients in wonderful , world class Aosta once more!
Champoluc

Monte Rosa is a fantastic area for off piste skiing, covering the resorts of Champoluc, Gressoney and Alagna. The area of Alagna in particular, is famed for off piste skiing.
Course tuition will be for 6 days and will be a combination of piste performance and introduction to off piste skiing. As part of the course you will have the opportunity to try skinning and some ski tours. These will of course, be weather dependent. We will include at least 1 night in a Mountain hut. Participants will have the benefit of 2 coaches/leaders throughout.
Course participants will be given a refresher on Avalanche Safety and Transceiver work. Map reading will be included and the timing of ski tours and other expeditions
The course will help you to begin to explore beyond the areas served by the lifts and give you the confidence, knowledge and tools that you need to do so in safety and security.
We will be fying into Turin this year on the 20th of January and the 28th We will provide our own transfers via minibus.
Costs of coaching and leading on these courses is £420. This does not include travel, food or accommodation. We may have some additional local, costs of a mountain hut/or and a guide for specific excursions but we will let you know any additional costs well in advance.

Iceland
Our Iceland course will be based in the Troll Peninsula at Siglund fiord This course will be for 10 days duration to allow for a full days travel at either end and the possibility of a day off to enjoy the sights in Iceland This will be a physical course and will involve skinning up and earning every turn. Please ensure you are fit enough to skin 1000m every day for 7 days. Cost of coaching for this course will be £480 per person
